Our Community Partnerships

One of the founding pillars of Jack and Jill of America Inc, is community service. We are unique because we are one of the only organizations that unites parents and children in a spirit of stewardship. Our main goal is to be provide ALL children with the tools and experiences to become global servant leaders. Lake Shore is committed to the goals of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. by engaging in community partnerships that uplift children in our local community and around the world.

Lake Shore Chapter is proud to be in partnership with The Primo Center a transitional housing shelter for women and children. The mission of the Primo Center for Women and Children is to empower women and children to become productive, responsible and independent members of their communities. Lake Shore conducts monthly tutoring sessions, created a 500 book library,  host the annual family game night as well as donate “Night Night Bags”  filled with blankets and stuff animals for children new to the facility.

Feed My Starving Children

Feed My Starving Children, a Christian nonprofit that provides nutritionally complete meals for starving, malnourished and hungry people. Lake Shore Children will first be introduce to the plight of the starvation in children and then will pack meals for the children in Africa. Lake Shore children will know the many benefits of giving their time, effort and money to good causes.

The Boys and Girls Club

Lake Shore is excited to partner with the Boys  and Girls Club of Chicago  to provide programming to uplift of youth. We will collect school supplies and deliver them in backpacks to children at the Boys and Girls Club. We will also host  fun and educational programs and activities for the youth.

March of Dimes

Lake Shore families participate in the annual nationwide campaign ” March for Babies” in a walk along the lake shore. Lake Shore’s participation will help to give hope to half a million babies born too soon each year. The money we raise will support programs in our community that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies.
